Dr. Marek Wosinski met with Dr. Xiumei Wang, Director of the Office of International Exchange & Cooperation at Beijing Normal University, Prof. Dr. Ronghuai Huang, Dean of the Institute and few other members of the staff.
Smart Learning Institute (SLI) was established on March 2015 and serves as an experimental platform comprising scientific research, technology development and education. It is also a joint venture with Huayu Education Science and Technology Company. SLI aims to promote the educational technology and thrives to build the digital capacity of Chinese talents, and to further improve the quality of education and capability of research and development.
After the presentation on the topic Smart Cities, Smart villages and Smart Schools; Invitation for Collaboration there was a discussion on potential for collaboration on our Smart Schools for Sustainable Smart Cities project. It seems that SLI’s goals are much broader than the ones for our project, but it seems that definitely our goals can fit under the umbrella of their mission. There is a need to continue the discussion as SLI is at the early stage of development so we should identify common goals as soon as possible.
